Archibald's Stoneworks Annual Stone Carving Symposium

14 January 2012

Forthcoming Events

30 regional artists will carve and chisel away enthusiastically during the nine-day event in Upper Hutt at ARCHIBALD'S STONE CARVING SYMPOSIUM (14 -23 January 2011).

The artists spent most of the days there carving outdoors to finish their stone creations in time for the Monday auction.

Archibald’s Stone Carving Symposium is held annually at Maidstone Park and has been attracting carvers nationwide, thanks to the event’s organiser, Mary Archibald, who has been running the symposium since it started 17 years ago.

It is free entry to view the stone carvings taking shape and listen to early evening music.
